FrontPage 2003: Introduction

Learning Outcomes:

  • Successfully create a Web site adding pictures, a new drawing or a photo gallery to web pages using information provided within the Lesson Lab.

  • Correctly add hyperlinks, bookmark links and links from an image according to instructions in the exercises.

  • Given a set of instructions, insert a table, set table and cell properties, split tables and AutoFormat a table without error.

  • Efficiently apply and customize a theme, create and format with styles, set the background and test in multiple browsers according to instructions in the Lesson Lab.

  • Successfully create and apply a dynamic web template and prepare your web site for publishing, then publish your web utilizing the instructions in the Lesson Lab and within the preset time frame.

This one day class will provide the user with the basic knowledge required to create and manage web sites, whether for an intranet or for the World Wide Web.

FrontPage 2003: Introduction (Windows)

The following lesson objectives will help the students become comfortable with Microsoft FrontPage 2003.

Create a Web site that includes new and existing Web pages. Add pictures, a New Drawing or a Photo Gallery to Web pages. Add Hyperlinks, Bookmark links and links from an image. Insert a table, set table and cell properties, split tables and AutoFormat a table. Apply and customize a theme. Create and format with styles, set the background and test in multiple browsers. Design a Web Page layout. Create and apply a dynamic web template. Use Navigation view to structure a Web site. Prepare your Web site for publishing and publish your web.

Class targeted to:

Those in the Windows environment that wish to design, create and edit a set of web pages, create links within web pages and links to the World Wide Web.

Prerequisites:

Windows knowledge; Word processing experience, Internet Explorer 6.0: Intro and Windows XP: Introduction. It may be very helpful to have completed HTML 4.01: Web Authoring.
