ASP.NET: Using Visual Basic.NET, ADO.NET, and XML Learning Outcomes:
This five-day course will enable the participant to create ASP.NET Web pages that dynamically display content, display, manipulate, and modify data in a relational database, and display, manipulate, and modify XML data. • Writing Basic ASP.NET Pages ASP.NET: Using Visual Basic.NET, ADO.NET, and XML Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to: write your first ASP.NET Web pages by using the basic features of the Page class; perform browser detection, store and retrieve data using a cookie, pass user information between pages, increase the separation of code from content and the modularity of your code. Create Web forms using Web controls; display and modify data from a database by using ADO.NET with ASP.NET Web controls; create a calendar using a calendar control; rotate banner ads with the ad rotator control. Manipulate and update data using ADO.NET DataSets. Read, write, edit and validate XML documents, convert and transform XML data, search an XML document for specific information, create nested XML from a DataSet Object, output XSLT results using the XML control. Design and configure numerous aspects of an ASP.NET application such as Error Tracing, Cache Page output and Cache a user control.
