| Microsoft Project 2007 Level 1 Learning Outcomes: • Correctly create a project plan file and enter task information as directed by the instructor. This first course in a two-part series will cover the critical skills necessary to create and modify a project plan file that contains tasks, resources, and resource assignments. Microsoft Project 2007 Level 1 Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to: Display an existing project plan in different views. Create a project plan file and enter task information. Create a work breakdown structure by organizing tasks and setting task relationships. Organize tasks in a work breakdown structure containing task relationships. Use the Project calendar to assign and track tasks. Assign Project resources and finalize the project plan file. Create a resource calendar and assign resources to tasks. Enter values for budget resources. Set deadlines and resolve resource conflicts. Display the critical path, shorten the project duration, set a baseline and print a Project summary report. Class targeted to: This course is designed for a person who has an understanding of project management concepts, who is responsible for creating and modifying project plans, and who needs a tool to manage those project plans. Prerequisites: Students should be fairly comfortable working in the Windows environment. An understanding of project management concepts would be helpful. Consider participating in the Project Management Fundamentals course prior to attending Microsoft Project. Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is useful.
