PowerPoint 2003: Introduction

Learning Outcomes:

  • Utilizing a set of instructions, successfully create and edit bullet slides.

  • Given a specific scenario, effectively use PowerPoint’s drawing tools to create a slide.

  • Accurately create and enhance organization charts, and create and edit graphs using the information provided in the Lesson lab.

  • Correctly change the overall appearance of a presentation by using design templates, clip art, Wordart, and the Slide Master as indicated in the Lesson Lab.

  • Run a slide show, utilizing slide show options, and adding notes to a slide to demonstrate mastery in the product using a specific set of instructions provided during class.


Students will learn the basic skills necessary to begin effectively creating presentations
in Microsoft PowerPoint. This course is intended for students who wish to pursue their Microsoft Office Specialist certification in PowerPoint 2003.

PowerPoint 2003: Introduction

Start the PowerPoint program, identify on-screen features, and navigate through a presentation. Create and edit bullet slides. Use PowerPoint's drawing tools to create a slide. Incorporate Clip Art and WordArt objects in a slide. Create and edit graphs. Change the overall appearance of a presentation by using design templates and the Slide Master. Use the AutoContent Wizard. Run a slide show, become familiar with slide show options, and add notes to a slide. Preview and save a PowerPoint presentation as a Web page and package a presentation for CD.

Class targeted to:

Students wishing to learn the art of presentation skills for their own use or for others.

Prerequisite:
