Desktop Management with ZENworks for Desktops Desktop Management with ZENworks for Desktops Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to: Identify eDirectory Design Guidelines, Identify the ZENworks for Desktops Web Services Architecture. Install ZENworks for Desktops back-end services, middle tier, workstation agents and ConsoleOne. Administer the ZENworks for Desktops server. Identify what policy management is and how it works. Implement a search policy. Create and associate a server package a service location package, a user policy package and a workstation package, enable and configure each and plan user package deployment. Identify application management tasks and components. Explain application delivery using NAL views, configure NAL. Distribute Directory-enable applications, identify application object configuration options, automate the distribution of applications, repair and uninstall applications, distribute applications to disconnected workstations. Learn application site lists, implement load balancing fault tolerance and alternate remote access applications. Configure application reporting. Configure remote management policies and manage a workstation remotely. Explain and implement AWI. Look at how workstation inventory works, plan an inventory deployment, install and configure workstation inventory and run an inventory cycle. Identify the components of workstation imaging. Create and restore images manually and automatically. Deliver add-on images and identify imaging deployment strategies. Class targeted to: * This course is for students seeking the CNE certification or those who want to improve their skills in managing network users. Prerequisites: * CompTIA A+, Network+ and Foundations of Novell Networking or equivalent
knowledge.
