| Novell Network Management
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to: Use a systematic troubleshooting process. Use documentation and research tools for support. Understand and manage client access. Build TCP/IP Network using NetWare. Configure DHCP, SLP, and DNS services. Migrate from IPX to IP. Use NetWare remote manager. Manage and optimize the memory subsystem. Implement external security measures. Identify how public key cryptography works. Defend the nework against hacking and denial of service attacks. Optimize eDirectory performance. Use iMonitor to manage and maintain eDirectory, and manage upgrades, resource redirections and schema extensions. Identify the fundamentals of Novell licensing services and key components. Set up and configure file storage and access options in NetWare. Set up SMS, back up data and restore date with SBCON and NWBACK32. Install, configure and manage enterprise Web server and NetWare FTP server. Prepare the network for migration or upgrade to the latest NetWare Operating System. Class targeted to: * Designed for those who have entry-level experience in managing small LAN or WAN networks, although not necessarily experience using Novell products. Prerequisites: * Foundations of Novell Networking course or equivalent knowledge.
