| Novell eDirectory Design and Implementation During this 3 day class students will learn to design and implement Novell eDirectory trees and related components in any type of organization. * Identify the eDirectory Design Process
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to: Assign Project roles, identify the major phases of the eDirectory cycle, perform a needs analysis. Identify fundamental directory design factors, create an eDirectory naming standards document, design the upper and lower layers of the eDirectory Tree, install eDirectory and build a Tree. Create a user accessibility needs document, an accessibility guidelines document and an administrative strategies document. Understand eDirectory partitioning and replication. Plan, design, and implement a partition and replica strategy, determine a WAN traffic manager strategy for your Tree. Design and implement: an eDirectory DNS/DHCP, an SLP, a Time Synchronizaion and an eDirectory print services strategy. Evaluate your eDirectory Design and merge two directory trees. Explain why eDirectory design is important to the success of your E-business, complete a needs analysis, implement the network infrastructure, create a user accessibility needs strategy for E-Business, implement the eDirectory tree structure, and implement a partition and replica strategy for your E-Business Tree. Class targeted to: * Designed for CNE, CDE or CNI candidates who need to fulfill the course requirements for certification. Prerequisites: * NetWare Administration, Networking Technologies, NetWare Advanced Administration
or equivalent experience.
