FreeHand: Level 2

Learning Outcomes:

• Effectively use advanced drawing techniques to create complex shapes and to quickly generate many copies of objects in an illustration using instructions in the Lesson Lab.

• Successfully create ruler guides and convert paths into guides within allotted time frame.

• Correctly use transformation tools to scale, rotate, mirror, and skew objects, blend objects and colors for subtle or striking effects according to a set of criteria in each Lesson Lab.

• Create clipping paths to apply cropping effects, simulate transparency, and create special effects with 100% accuracy during the Lesson Lab or exercises.

• Successfully create and apply master pages in a multi-page document demonstrating proficiency without error.

In this course, you will use Macromedia FreeHand 10 to create dynamic graphics using advanced drawing and editing tools, path editing techniques, and masks. You will also take advantage of some of the latest features that FreeHand offers such as contour gradients and multi-page document master page support.

Use advanced drawing techniques to create complex shapes and to quickly generate many copies of objects in an illustration. Expand single paths into shapes. Create ruler guides and convert paths into guides. Combine paths to intertwine objects and simulate transparency. Use transformation tools to sclae, rotate, mirror, and skew objects. Distort, warp, and apply perspective to objects. Blend objects and colors for subtle or striking effects. Use composite paths to cut holes in images and simplify paths. Creat clipping paths to apply cropping effects, simulate transparency, and creat special effects. Create and apply master pages in a multi-page document.

The FreeHand student who wishes to enhance their basic knowledge and to be able to create and manipulate multi-page documents.

Prerequisites:

A basic understanding of your computer's operating system and FreeHand 10: Level 1.
