Microsoft SQL Server: Database Design

After this class students will be able to:

Identify the features and components of MS SQL Server 2000. Understand the SQL server architecture. Use SQL Server Enterprise Manager and Query Analyzer. Use Transact-SQL to query a SQL server. Identify SQL server management tasks. Create a simple table inserting and selecting data. Programming using variables, saving a script file, choosing an XML format. Identify the space requirements for databases, set database options, manage the database. Crate and manage tables. Understand data integrity and implement constraints. Design and implement indexes. Query multiple tables through the use of joins. Design subqueries, insert data based on a query. Create and manage views using indexed view, partitioned view. Design and implement stored procedures. Create triggers. Manage transactions and locks. Implement queries across multiple servers. Optimize queries and analyze query performance.

Targeted Student:

This course will assist students in preparing for MCSE and MCDA Exams.

Prerequisites:
