Windows Server 2003: Designing Network Security
During this 3 day course you will design security solutions for Microsoft networks by assembling a design tree, modeling threats, and analyzing security risks. * Introduction to the Security Design Process Windows Server 2003: Designing Network Security Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: Describe the basics of designing security and create a plan for securing the network. Identify possible threats to a network and common motivations of attackers. Determine what resources in the organization require protection and how to prioritize those resources based on value, develop a risk management plan to identify and analyze risks proactively and to determine appropriate level of protection for each resource. Determine threats and analyze risks to physical resources, design security for facilities, computers, mobile devices, and hardware, and implement disaster recovery. Determine threats and analyze risks to data, data transmission, network perimeters, authentication, and accounts in an organization. Design an audit policy to limit damage caused by an attack and an incident response procedure to guide your organization during a security incident.
