Windows Server 2003: For NT 4.0 Administrators
During this 3 day course you will learn how to administer Windows Server 2003 servers. * Intro to MS Windows Server 2003 Family Windows Server 2003: For NT 4.0 Administrators Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: Have a great overview of the Windows Server 2003 Family, access the help and support center, install administrative tools, create a custom MMC. Install DNS and configure DNS zones, configure dynamic updates. Configure the Time-to-Live value, aging and scavenging. Manage and monitor DNS, test DNS server configuration, monitor performance and log DNS events. Learn the specifics of Active Directory and installation procedures. Create organizational units, user and computer accounts. Create and modify groups, control access to active directory objects and delegate control of those objects. Implement group policy objects in a domain. Edit group policy settings, assign scripts using group policy, secure computers using security templates, determine applied GPOs. If time allows: take a look at configuring and supporting network access; securing network traffic; and implementing disaster protection and recovery techniques.
