Windows Server 2003: Maintaining the Environment

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: Use Microsoft Windows Server 2003 to administer servers remotely and administer local and remote connections. You will Configure and Manage counter logs and alerts. Monitor primary server subsystems to collect performance data and identify system bottlenecks. Configure Device Driver signing options, roll back or uninstall device drivers. Prepare basic disks, manage disk properties and mounted drives, create volumes and import a disk. Manage file compression, configure file encryption and implement disk quotas. Look at disaster recovery preparations, schedule backup jobs, restore data, implement shadow copies of shared folder. Manage and distribute software updates.

* Designed for a systems administrator with basic server management skills who wants to be able to maintain a 2003 domain environment or who is preparing for the MS: Certification exam 70-290.

Prerequisites:
