A+ Certification™: Remote and Depot Technician

Upon successful completion of this course the participant will learn: Remote Technician Best Practices, install and configure adapter cards, display devices, input devices, and multimedia devices. Troubleshoot storage devices, adapter cards, and display multimedia and other peripheral devices. Maintain operating systems. Work with printers and scanners. Create and troubleshoot Network connections. Implement computer security for remote networks and troubleshoot remote networks. Learn depot Technician Best Practices, tools of the trade and safety and environmental issues. Install and configure: system boards, memory, internal storage devices, CPUs, Power Supplies, Adapter Cards and install hardware security devices. Troubleshoot personal computer components such as processor and system boards, memory, power supplies and adapter cards. Install, configure and troubleshoot printers and scanners.

Class targeted to:

Users desiring to build on their knowledge of hardware and networks and become personal computer service technicians.

Prerequisites:

CompTIA A+ Essentials or have equivalent knowledge.
