Cisco CCNP®: Building Cisco Remote Access Networks (BCRAN)

Learning Outcomes:

  • Together the class will monitor network operational parameters so that the student can detect anomalies without error.

  • Given a specific scenario, accurately use VPNs to secure remote access networks.

  • With certain parameters supplied, successfully implement a network design plan.

  • Completely design a functional configuration to support the specified network operational requirements.

  • The class will evaluate the functionality of a network to ensure that it functions as specified during the Lesson Lab and under instructor supervision and to his 100% satisfaction.

This five day course will cover the essential and real world knowledge required to implement Cisco Remote Access Node environments and will prepare the student for CCNP exam.

* Identifying Cisco Solutions to Remote Access Needs
* Using AAA To Scale Access Control in an Expanding Network
* Configuring Asynchronous Communications
* Configuring PPP and Controlling Network Access with PAP and CHAP
* Quering and Compression
* Scaling IP Addresses
* ISDN & DDR
* Using Broadband
* VPNs

Cisco CCNP®: Building Cisco Remote Access Networks (BCRAN)

After successful completion of this course, students will be able to: Interconnect the network devices as specified by a given design and installation plan. Build a functional configuration to support the specified network operational requirements. Verify the functionality of the network to ensure that it functions as specified. Verify connectivity to non-Cisco devices. Use the command line interface, accurately determine network device operations status and network performance. Use ISDN and DDR Connections to enhance connectivity. Using the command line interface, configure access lists to meet specified operation requirements. Using the appropriate show commands, display network operation parameters so that the student can detect anomalies. Using the appropriate debug commands, monitor network operational parameters so that the student can detect anomalies. Use VPNs to secure remote access networks.

Targeted Student:

* Network professionals wanting to advance their knowledge of networking and those preparing for the CCNP exam.

Prerequisites:

* A basic Cisco Introduction course; Interconnecting Cisco Network Devices; Building Scalable Cisco Internetworks and Building Cisco Multilayer Switched Networks.
