  • Using directions in the Learning Lab, add basic functionality to Web Pages with Hyperlinks, Bookmark Links, and create a Hotspot.
  • Create an ASP.NET form and validate inputs with 100% accuracy.
  • Successfully work with SharePoint site templates as directed by the instructor.

This two day course is intended for web designers and developers, application developers, SharePoint site owners, and other knowledge workers with SharePoint end-user experience who want to use SharePoint Designer to create and customize SharePoint sites.

 SharePoint Designer 2010: Level 1 & 2

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

Add content to a web page, create a new subsite, use Cascading Style Sheets to format a SharePoint site, add and format text, work with tables and images, add Hyperlinks, create a Hotspot, add Bookmark links, add Lists and Libraries, work with Web Parts.  Learn how to create an ASP.NET form, create custom content types, validate inputs.  Implement Data Sources and display data from a linked data source in data views, import data into a data view, Create external content types and create an external list.  Move data view web parts to different web part zones, reference and consume a web service. Display XML data with XSLT.  Create a site workflow and create a reusable workflow.  Manage permissions for SharePoint Designer 2010 and save a customized site as a SharePoint site template.

 Class targeted to: Persons needing to enhance the look and feel of a SharePoint site and create dynamic pages using Web Parts and workflows.

Prerequisites:  To benefit from this course, you should have basic end-user skills with SharePoint and be familiar with the general structure and hierarchy of SharePoint sites. It is recommended you first take the SharePoint Foundation course.
