Learning Outcomes:

  • Successfully customize the calendar by setting various calendar options as described in the Lesson Lab.
  • Utilizing a set of instructions, accurately set rules, such as notify others that you will be out of the office.
  • Specify folder permissions and delegate access to folders as directed in the exercise, without error.
  • Correctly customize the Toolbar and Menu and create a folder Home Page as demonstrated within the Lesson Lab.

Students will be able to explore the advanced features provided with the Outlook interface, such as advanced message, calendar, and contacts management.  Prepares the student for the Microsoft Office Specialist certification.

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:  Insert advanced characters and objects. Modify message settings, properties, and options. Use automatic replies. Sort and filter messages. Organize and search messages.  Manage junk mail and your mailbox. Manage advanced calendar options.  Create calendar groups.  Manage meeting responses.  Edit an electronic business card. Manage advanced contacts options.  Forward and export contacts. Assign and manage tasks. Record and modify journal entries. Delegate access to mail folders. Share your calendar and contacts. Back up Outlook items. Change data file settings.
